Consecutive means that it is a number right after another. We can set up the problem like x + x1 = 145. 
Then, x +x is 2x and then you add the one. You solve by subtracting the 1 from 145 and you get 144. You then divide by 2 and get 72. 72 is what x is and 72 + 1 is 73, which is the (x+1) part of the equation. 
So, the first consecutive integer is 72, and the second is 73.
