I believe the answer is: logrolling
In government office,
logrolling is used by members of the government to do each other a favor by reciprocal voting for each other's proposed legislation.
For example, a congress from republican party promise another congress from a democratic party to give a vote that pass abortion regulation in exchange for a vote to lower income tax.
