Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine
The Roosevelt Corollary was an additional statement to the Monroe Doctrine that was articulated by President Theodore Roosevelt in his State of the Union address in 1904 in response to the Venezuela Crisis of 1902–03. It justified and stated that the USA would intervene in Latin America if these countries misbehaved.
