You can use a proportion.

5 is to 38 as x is to 57.

[tex] \dfrac{5}{38} = \dfrac{x}{57} [/tex]

[tex] x = 57 \times \dfrac{5}{38} [/tex]

[tex] x = 7.5 [/tex]

Answer: 7.5 miles
